PrintmakingLevel 2

By the end of this project complete these process and art history edpuzzles: 


Step #1: You can look through this you tube video if you are having trouble getting ideas:


*  Remember, if you are planning on using your work for competition the image that you use as a resource should be one that has not been published.

After checking in with Mrs. Dennis... 
Draw your printmaking image using an original image and a grid. You can find grids at the front of the room on the first shelf.


Check in w Mrs. Dennis before continuing onto step 2.
 
Step#2: Watch this edpuzzle


Step # 3: Ink pen your design onto your printing plate.


Step #4: Get with Mrs. Dennis to find areas to carve

Step #5: Watch this edpuzzle:

Step# 6: Pull at least 8 prints using light ink:*   Pull at least 3 prints on white paper (Please do not use dark ink for these*   Pull at least 3 prints on colored paper (Please do not use dark ink.)*     Pull 2 of your choice

Step #7: Get with Mrs. Dennis to find out where to carve for the second reduction and carve where indicated

Step#8: Print your second reduction on top of all of your first reductions.  Use ink darker than the first reduction BUT NOT BLACK.


Step# 9: Meet with Mrs. Dennis to discuss where to carve for your final reduction and carve the spaces.

Step#8: Print your final reduction on top of your 1st and 2nd in dark ink (preferably black).


 Step #10: After they are dry, give your prints to Mrs. D to crop and watch this edpuzzle to complete your credit line: 


Step # 11: Write your credit lines in pencil and make sure to finish all edpuzzles

Step #12: Insert photos of your prints on slides in your portfolio slide show and attach all photo files to the assignment titled "Finished work from chosen technique"
