What to expect in drawing 2:
If Drawing 1 is the "alphabet of art" then Drawing 2 is learning how to use compositional skills such as foreshortening and the rule of 3 while also using their "alphabet" to convey meaning. Students in Drawing 2 will also be expected to work from images that they photograph to ensure that all work is original, however, they will be lead to push the envelope on perspectives used and measuring skill set.
A variety of media will be used such as:
* Graphite and Prismacolor pencil
* Oil and Chalk Pastel
* Charcoal
* Pen and ink

Watch this video then create your name tag in your art ideas slide show.
Next go to this link and choose one sketch prompt to draw. Do the sketch on regular unlined white paper. (You can use google images to find subjects to work from.)
Sketches will not be due until the end of the semester. It's best to work on them a little along the way.
Important info about sketches:
There will be 10 sketches due at the end of the semester. The sketch assigned above is sketch #1. It is not due until the end of the semester. You can work on any sketches when you finish early on other assigned work but the assigned work is the 1st priority.
Day #4-7: 8/22/20- 8/27/20
On 8/24/20 go to this link to begin your next project
You'll still have until Tuesday to turn in the work from the first 3 days, however, if you are a little behind on this you may want to bust a move so that you don't miss out on working on the next project.
(If you are a remote learner, your materials box will be ready for you to pick up on Tuesday, 8/25 and there will be time built in for you to complete the work assigned.)
Important! : Check your stream on google classroom for important dates for assignment turn in.
(If you have been enrolled in the class and have been on google classroom for the last 5 days you should have turned in the work from days 1,2,3, and 4.)
