Licking Valley Elementary Art Facilitators

Why we created this space:

Fantastic studio space and art materials always inspire ideas.  The art teachers at the elementary are constantly searching for ways to organize the resources and concepts that drive art lessons and activities.  Sometimes the ideas come so fast that we are unsure where to put them.  It is a good problem to have.  However, we sometimes feel like Lucy and Ethel in the I Love Lucy episode below.  Where do we put all the good ideas and resources so that they are easily accessable when we need to meet the needs of our students?  Wouldn't it be great if it was all a keystroke away?  Wouldn't it be powerful if students could see other students modeling for them rather than just instructors?  Wouldn't it be grand if the web based media we teach from was all in one place?  A webspace is also a great way for student artists to connect to a larger authentic audience.

"We are not in the art business teaching kids; We are in the kid business teaching art."
