Who We Are

Step 1: Do your research

Before beginning your container learn from the work of others.

Complete these edpuzzle videos to strengthen your understanding.

You must complete them on your own account; They will count as missing work if not completed.

Step 2

decide on your form

Using card stock paper and tape assemble your form. Keep in mind that if you fold the paper in 1/2 and cut opposite the fold you'll create a symmetrical shape.

Size of the sides does need to be manageable. Use your edpuzzle videos to refer to if needed.

Use your previous knowlege 

Be aware of the stage your clay is in and the capabilities of each stage.

You are in charge of controlling the stage your clay is in so that you can create your construction.

Grading Criteria

Construction: The joints are well connected

​

Craftsmanship: The overall treatment of the piece is intentional

​

Glazing: Glaze applied adds to the success of the piece

​

Originality: Although we springboards off the work of other artists you made this work your own, either by changing the form or application of glaze

​

Authentic use of studio time and resources: You contributed to clean up and the overall care for tools and furniture; Resources (clay and time) were not mismanaged by you
