Chosen image grid drawing

Students are exposed to the amazing art of Phil Hanson and Chuck Close and use Mr. Close's grid process to dive into their own chosen process.  After identifying the contour lines students use either graphite pencil or charcoal to define the areas of their subject.  They will dive into value, using varied layers and pressures of media to find the full range of value from lightest of light to darkest of dark and all grey tones in between.
